Maverick Magazine Kicks Off 2025 with a Packed New Issue

MAV JANFEB CAROUSEL

Hand Media International is excited to present the latest issue of market leading country music publication Maverick Magazine. A brand-new year brings a fresh edition of Maverick Magazine, brimming with in-depth features, expert insights, and a forward-looking perspective on the country music landscape.

This issue spotlights the artists shaping the genre in 2025. Our cover star, Lee Brice, continues his rise with heartfelt storytelling and anthemic hits, while Lainey Wilson cements her place at the top with her latest album, Whirlwind. We also take a deep dive into Luke Combs’ concept album, Fathers & Sons, which explores the timeless themes of family and legacy. Meanwhile, our Editor’s Pick shines a light on Ken Pomeroy, an Americana artist whose raw, evocative songwriting is turning heads across the industry.

Expanding our horizons, Beyond Nashville takes us on a global tour, introducing rising country artists from France, Mexico, and Sweden, including Ellinor Springstrike, Mamselle Ruiz, and Romain Malagnoux. We then step back in time in Blast From The Past, revisiting two unforgettable country hits of the 2000s—Neal McCoy’s ‘Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On’ and Faith Hill’s crossover smash ‘The Way You Love Me’.

Of course, no issue of Maverick would be complete without a carefully curated selection of the best new releases in country, Americana, and folk. This edition’s Top Picks features The Flying Burrito Brothers’ Live 1976, Steve Young’s latest record, and Kent Nielsen’s fusion of punk, rock, and folk. Our Spotlight artist, Jessica Lynn, makes waves with her latest single, All I Own, while our Encore interview features Sarah Louise, reflecting on her journey, creative process, and love of classic cover songs.

As we step into 2025, we embrace the ever-evolving nature of country music while staying true to its roots. Inspired by the principles of the UK Americana Awards, we celebrate the diversity and unity of this genre, championing artists from all backgrounds and styles.

Here’s to another year of keeping it country!
