Security Buyer returns from Dallas after ASIS 2017
The industry’s most comprehensive and informative guide to security news and products returned this week from Dallas, USA, after attending the ASIS 2017 conference.
The seminar, which took place from 25-28 September, is hosted annually and draws people from across the globe with interest and expertise in the security industry.
This year the event included the attendance of the U.S. Navy’s first female F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot, Carey Lohrenz, who spoke to a rapt audience about how important it is to stay calm and collected under pressure and the importance of working as a team. Author of ‘Fearless Leadership: High-Performance Lessons from the Flight Deck’, Carey Lohrenz also discussed the fundamentals of leadership, reducing errors, and overcoming obstacles, resonating with security professionals at all stages of their careers.
Former President George W. Bush also delivered a keynote speech, while Mark Cuban, Technology & Media Entrepreneur and Owner of the Dallas Mavericks shared his approach to the myriad challenges inherent in securing physical, data, and information assets.
